This is a highly detailed accessory set in resin in 1:35 scale, not a kit of a vehicle. It shows the German MG 08 heavy machine gun, nicknamed the Spandau, including fine parts supplemented by photo-etch.
The MG 08 was the standard German heavy machine gun introduced even before the First World War. It was based on the Maxim design and became an icon of trench warfare; in the second line and with fortress units it served in the Second World War as well. It is characterized by its water-cooled barrel and its sledge mount.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding. The photo-etched elements add fine detail; the whole comes into its own once painted in shades of steel with light weathering.
This is not a model of a vehicle but a resin detail set. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
