A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard for the MIM-104F Patriot surface-to-air missile system in the PAC-3 version in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but a detail accessory. The set adds fine photo-etched parts, grilles, covers and small elements of the launcher trailer that lift the base plastic model to a higher level of fidelity.
The Patriot is an American mobile anti-aircraft and anti-missile system. The PAC-3 version is optimized for destroying ballistic missiles and uses smaller, more accurate missiles, more of which fit into a launcher. The system consists of launchers, a radar and command elements distributed on trailers and vehicles.
Separate the photo-etched parts and make the bends on a bending tool. Work in sections and glue the fine grilles with cyanoacrylate glue over small areas at a time. Degrease the surfaces and prime them before painting. Once painted, the details stand out when brought up with a wash.
The accessory does not contain the model itself, the glue or the paints. It is meant to complete an existing kit.
