An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese ZTD-05 amphibious assault vehicle in 1:35 scale. The set contains detailed running gear with full suspension, six dual road wheels, an idler wheel and a drive sprocket on each side, and individual track links. The bow flap can be built in the lowered or the raised position thanks to the way the rams are made. Photo-etched parts and decals are included as well.
The ZTD-05 is an amphibious assault vehicle of the People's Liberation Army built on the common platform of the 05 family. It carries a turret with a 105 mm gun and a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and is intended to provide fire support for amphibious operations. Its conception follows from the requirement for a fast run over water to the shore.
Finish the running gear and the individual tracks before the hull is closed up. The bow flap can be fixed in the chosen position. Thin plastic cement, a primer and an airbrush are the answer. For a convincing look, washes into the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
