This plastic kit from Revell presents the German Sd.Kfz.251/1 half-track armored personnel carrier in the Ausf.B version in 1:35 scale. The model captures the characteristic angular hull, the half-track running gear and the internal layout of the fighting compartment, and it is intended to be glued and painted.
The Sd.Kfz.251, nicknamed the Hanomag, was the most widespread German half-track carrier of the Second World War. It served to carry infantry as well as for a whole range of specialized tasks. The Ausf.B version is among the earlier production variants and differs from the later series in details of the hull and in its layout. The basic /1 variant was intended for carrying Panzergrenadiers.
On the plastic use liquid cement, which flows into the joints. Finish and paint the interior and the running gear before you close the hull. A primer coat, an airbrush for the covering shades and then washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the tracks and the underside of the vehicle are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
