A resin figure in 1:35 scale depicting an officer of the armored forces in full dress uniform from the period of 1939. It is a stand-alone figural casting, not a vehicle kit. It is supplied unpainted and needs cleaning up, assembly and finishing in color.
A dress uniform differs from a field one in cut, in the cleanness of its lines and in the emphasis on detail: the collar tabs, the rank badges, the belt and the headgear are the main subject here. For the modeler that means different work from a mud-covered field figure: crisp edges, clean surfaces and the fine drawing of small insignia come into play, while weathering is kept to a minimum. The figure suits scenes away from combat, such as a garrison courtyard, a parade or a handover of equipment, and it goes well with a finished model of a period armored vehicle or a tankette.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water, cut off the casting blocks and sand the joints carefully, because every irregularity shows on a smooth dress uniform. Sand resin with respiratory protection and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay on a smooth primer, ideally sprayed, and paint in thin coats. Bring out the crisp edges with a gentle highlight and the folds with no more than a discreet wash. Do the small buttons and rank badges last with a fine brush.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
