About product

Eduard 1:35 Stryker blast panels - photo-etched set

A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:35 scale containing the blast panels for a model of the American eight-wheeled Stryker armored personnel carrier. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory for a plastic kit. The photo-etched panels faithfully render the thin covers and their attachment to the outer armor of the vehicle.

The real subject

Vehicles of the Stryker family are modern American wheeled armored personnel carriers. The blast panels on their armor help to release the energy of an explosion and are among the characteristic external features.

Building and painting tips

The parts in thin brass sheet are separated with a sharp knife and glued with super glue. Before painting, degrease the brass and seal it with a base coat for metal, then weather it with washes and pigments.

Who it is for

  • Advanced modelers of modern wheeled vehicles in 1:35 scale.
  • Builders who want faithful thin panels instead of plastic.
  • Competition modelers aiming at detail.

This is an add-on photo-etched set. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
