This is a stand-alone decal set in 1:35 scale, an accessory for a model that is already built, not a kit. The decals are printed on a carrier sheet and are transferred by the classic wet method. The set is the first part of a series devoted to T-34 machines in their early production form and is intended for modelers who want to give their tank particular tactical markings instead of the generic ones from the box. The manufacturer states the exact extent of the sheet and the list of machines covered on the packaging.
The T-34 in the version with the 76 mm gun was among the most significant medium tanks of its day. It combined the steeply sloped armor of its welded hull, a wide track run with large road wheels and the V-2 diesel engine, which reduced the risk of fire compared with gasoline powerplants. Machines in the 1941 production form can be recognized by their cast or welded turret with fairly simple shapes and by the early types of hatches and vision blocks. The individual factories differed in production details, so it is always worth comparing a model with the documentation for the particular machine.
Coat the area under the decal with gloss clear varnish: on a smooth base the film adheres far better and there is no silvering. Cut the motif out close to the edge of the printing, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it will slide off the paper. On broken-up armor a decal softener helps, as it relaxes the film and lets it settle down to the rivets, grab handles and welds. Once dry, go over the area with matte varnish and only then carry on with the weathering; dust and mud at the edges of the markings look natural.
