Eureka XXL 1:35 German jerrycans for water is an add-on set of miniatures of the standard jerrycans in the drinking water version of the Second World War period, intended for fitting out models and dioramas.

The set holds miniatures of the German standard jerrycans in 1:35 scale, in the water version. It is not a vehicle model but small accessories used to fit out finished vehicles and to fill dioramas. Water cans are typical equipment of supply and rear-area scenes, where field kitchens, barrels, crates and improvised stores stand side by side. The number of pieces in the package and the material of the parts are stated on the box.
The standard jerrycan was designed as a universal transport container of twenty liters, with three handles on the top edge and a cross-shaped pressing on the sides that stiffens the sheet metal walls. For carrying drinking water a distinct version was used, so that it could not be confused with fuel, because residues of fuel in the walls of the container would spoil the water. The distinction was handled with prominent markings and with the arrangement of the neck and the closure. The cans were carried in quantity on vehicles and also stored in stacks at supply points, so they suit practically any scene centered on rear-area support.
Leave the small parts on the sprue as long as possible; they are easier to handle while painting. Once cut off, clean up the mating surface and degrease the surface, then apply a primer. Water cans are often depicted less dirty than fuel ones, but with more pronounced chipping from stacking. Develop the base shade with a light lightening of the upper surfaces and, conversely, a darkening of the lower edges. White markings are done with a fine brush or with a decal if you have one; apply them over a smooth gloss undercoat and then flatten them. Set a few cans loose on the ground of the scene, tipped over or leaning against a wall; a static row in a bracket looks less alive.
It is an add-on set, not a vehicle model. Paints, glues and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
