Eduard 1:350 HMS Cornwall photo-etched set of fine etched details for the model of this British heavy cruiser. An accessory for the model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An extensive photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the model of the British heavy cruiser HMS Cornwall in 1:350 scale. Ship etchings replace and supplement details that injection-molded plastic cannot render with the right delicacy, typically railings, ladders and other small deck and superstructure fittings. It is precisely these elements that decide whether a ship model looks like a toy or like a faithful miniature. This is an accessory, and the ship kit is not in the package.
HMS Cornwall was a British County-class heavy cruiser of the late 1920s, armed with eight 203 mm guns. During the Second World War she served on convoy protection and patrol duty in the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean; in April 1942 she was sunk together with the cruiser Dorsetshire by Japanese carrier-based dive bombers south of Ceylon.
Bend the railings gradually to follow the run of the deck and glue them with super glue applied on a pin. Cut long parts only after bending them, which reduces the risk of twisting. Degrease the etched parts and give them a coat of primer before painting; leave the finest parts until the end of the build so that they do not get damaged.
This is an accessory: the ship kit is not included in the package. Please check the fit with your kit.
