An injection-molded plastic kit of the Royal Navy frigate HMS Kent (F78) in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It is a full-hull model with a richly detailed hull and superstructure; the package holds a photo-etched fret and a helicopter as well. The model is meant to be assembled, painted and displayed on a stand.
HMS Kent is one of the Type 23 frigates, which are named after British dukes, and that is why the class is also known as the Duke class. They are multirole vessels with the emphasis on anti-submarine warfare, equipped with guided missiles, a gun and a shipboard helicopter. HMS Kent was commissioned around the turn of the millennium.
Glue the hull with a thin cement for plastic and clean up the joints carefully. We recommend priming, painting with an airbrush and bringing the decks and the superstructure to life with a wash and a dry brush. Glue the photo-etched railings and antennas with cyanoacrylate glue, and the cockpit of the helicopter can be glazed from the clear parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
