This product is neither a kit nor a finished model but a photo-etched metal set of flat figures of sailors meant for bringing finished models of ships to life. Small figures of the crew spread out over the decks and superstructures give a model the scale and the life that a ship on its own, without people, lacks.
The flat photo-etched figures are placed along the decks, at the railings, on the bridge and by the armament, which gives a model a point of comparison for scale and the fidelity of a period scene. The set suits models of ships in 1:350 scale.
The figures are separated from the fret with a sharp knife, bent slightly into a more lifelike stance where wanted, and glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Given the small scale they are painted with a brush after degreasing and laying down a primer for metal, and a simple difference in the color of the uniforms works well.
It is supplied as a standalone photo-etched accessory. Glue, paints and the target model are not included in the package.
