An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish submarine ORP Sep in 1:400 scale from the Polish brand Mirage Hobby. The model has a full hull and comes with a base for display; the package contains plastic parts and decals. In a small scale it is a rewarding collector's model that does not take up much room.
ORP Sep (meaning vulture) was one of a pair of modern ocean-going submarines of the Polish Navy and a sister ship of the well-known ORP Orzel. She entered service shortly before the Second World War. After the fighting broke out in 1939 she escaped the attacks and was finally interned in Swedish waters, where she saw out the war. She is one of the symbols of the courage of the small Polish fleet.
In a small scale, take care over the clean gluing of the hull halves and the conning tower and sand the joint carefully. Glue the small parts with liquid cement. Build the model with the full hull on the base. Spray the base coat with an airbrush, create the transitions between the shades of the hull with masking, and accentuate the details with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
