A collector model of the Skoda Favorit 136L in the markings of the OUNZ Prague 1 health service, 1:43 scale. A finished model for a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Skoda Favorit was the first production car from the Mlada Boleslav works with the engine mounted transversely at the front and front-wheel drive. It replaced the older layout with the engine at the rear, and the shape of its body was designed by the Italian studio Bertone. The 136L form was among the basic range of the five-door hatchback. The car became a matter of course on Czech roads and in the memory of many modelers it stayed as the first car in the family.
The abbreviation OUNZ stands for the district institute of national health, that is the organization which in its day provided health care in a given district. Its cars were part of everyday traffic, but in model form they appear only rarely. It is precisely such a service form that turns an ordinary production car into an interesting collector's piece, because it carries period markings that are nowhere to be seen today.
For collectors of Czechoslovak automotive equipment, for admirers of service and utility forms and for anyone who wants to recall a particular car of the 1980s. The 1:43 scale is the most widespread for collector cars, so the model will fit into a row alongside further pieces.
Brush dust off the model with a soft brush, not with a cloth, which would bend the mirrors or the wipers. Do not display the model in direct sunlight, or the colors will fade. A display case and other accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
