1:43 ZIL-131 painting masks from SX-Art are self-adhesive films for spraying the color division onto a model of this off-road truck. An accessory for painting, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cut self-adhesive masks for painting a model of the ZIL-131 off-road truck in 1:43 scale. The film is stuck onto a cured base coat, the second shade is laid over it and the film is removed once the paint has set. The result is a sharply bounded area that you will not achieve freehand.
The ZIL-131 is a Soviet off-road truck with drive on all three axles and a conventional layout with the hood over the engine. Structurally it was largely standardized with the ZIL road range, which simplified both production and maintenance. It served as a carrier for the widest variety of bodies, from a flatbed and a tanker to workshop and signals boxes.
A truck has many rounded and narrowed places, chiefly the fenders, the hood and the transition to the cab. The film lifts on a doubly curved surface, so wherever it ripples, cut it carefully from the edge of the cut inward and lay the individual tabs over one another. Cover the resulting seam with a piece of masking tape. Always smooth the mask from the center outward, not from the edge, otherwise an air bubble stays underneath and paint runs into it.
The package contains painting masks only. The model, paints and thinner are not part of the delivery.
