An Aber 1:48 photo-etched set for the Cromwell Mk.IV — vol. 3, the side stowage boxes is an additional brass set for faithful side boxes on a model of the British cruiser tank. It is an accessory to the build, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
An additional photo-etched set from the Polish maker Aber in 1:48 scale aimed at the side stowage boxes of a model of the British Cromwell Mk.IV cruiser tank. From thin brass you can fold up realistic boxes with fine hinges and catches, which simply will not come out of plastic. The set follows on from the basic set in the range and is meant for completing a build; it is not a model of the tank.
The Cromwell carried stowage boxes for tools and crew gear on the sides of the hull. These sheet-metal boxes are a striking detail that gives a model the authentic look of a vehicle that has been through service.
Bend the walls of the boxes on a photo-etch bending tool to a right angle and join them with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a base coat. Working with small photo-etched parts is better suited to more experienced modelers.
This is an accessory, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
