A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks in 1:48 scale from Furball Aero-Design. Besides the canopy frames it also holds masks for the wheel hubs, so it makes clean spraying of the glazing and of the hubs on a model of the American Grumman F9F-8 carrier fighter and of its reconnaissance F9F-8P Cougar version easier.

What the masks are for

The pre-cut masks copy the shape of the glazing and of the wheel hubs exactly, which gives crisp edges between the paint and the clear or rubber surface. The modeler avoids laborious taping and gets faithful, clean details with no paint bleeding under the edge.

Use

• Peel the mask off and lay it on the glazing or on the wheel hub
• Press the edges down so that they seal well
• Spray over it with the relevant color (frames, hubs)
• Once dry, remove the masks carefully
