Curtiss H75A — detail set of the cockpit, wheels and landing gear 1:48 from the Czech manufacturer AML. Resin parts for a decisive upgrade to the interior and the landing gear area of the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer AML in 1:48 scale for the Curtiss H75A. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory to the base kit: a finely cast cockpit, wheels and landing gear parts replace the simplified originals and give the model a depth injection-molded plastic cannot offer on its own in this scale. The set is the logical counterpart to the control surface set from the same manufacturer, and together they cover both the interior and the external details of the aircraft.
The Curtiss H75A was the export variant of the American P-36 Hawk fighter. In the French Air Force it was one of the most numerous modern types in the spring of 1940; the radial-engined fighter stood out for its agility and toughness, even though in performance it already lagged behind newer opponents. The cockpit of the Hawk was roomy and well equipped for its day, which makes it a rewarding place on a model for detailed work.
Fit the landing gear as the last step of the build and take time over aligning it, because resin legs glued with cyanoacrylate glue set quickly, so check the geometry on a flat surface before it dries. Paint the cockpit in subassemblies and bring out the details with a wash; dust the wheels lightly with pigments so that they suit an aircraft in service. Always wash the mold release agent off resin before gluing.
An accessory set; this is not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
