A resin figure to be painted, not a model. This resin casting by the Czech brand Aerobonus (Aires) in 1:48 scale portrays a fighter pilot of the Czechoslovak Air Force and comes with a seat for kits of the third series of the Avia B.534 biplane (the 1935 to 1939 period). The figure serves to bring a cockpit or a diorama to life and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Avia B.534 was a Czechoslovak biplane fighter and one of the best machines of its category in the middle of the 1930s. The third production version was built in the second half of that decade and formed the backbone of the prewar Czechoslovak fighter force. A pilot in period gear therefore completes a model of this machine naturally.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Try both the seat and the figure dry in the cockpit before installing them. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush will handle the flying suit, a brush the face and the details. A wash and oil shading will give the figure depth.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
