Eduard 1:48 F-4D air brakes is a photo-etched set of airbrakes for models of the F-4D Phantom II fighter. A small metal accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A focused set of photo-etched metal parts in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a kit of an airplane but an accessory that sharpens one particular detail – the airbrakes. It is intended for models of the F-4D fighter.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was an American two-seat supersonic multirole fighter, one of the most widely used combat machines of the Cold War. The F-4D version served with the US Air Force and was equipped for fighter and strike tasks alike. The airbrakes under the fuselage are often shown in the extended position on a model.
The set lets you show the airbrakes with a faithful inner structure and open slots. The parts are separated with a sharp knife, bent over an edge and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal faces before painting and pick out the inside of the brake well with a wash.
The accessory comes as a separate photo-etched set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
