The set represents Soviet and Russian aerial bombs of 500 kg caliber in the FAB-500TA version in 1:48 scale. It is not a stand-alone model but a resin accessory of carried armament for complementing the stores of a kit. The resin castings faithfully capture the shape of the bomb body and the fins. The set makes it possible to arm models of Soviet and Russian tactical aircraft realistically.
The abbreviation FAB denotes a high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb, and the number gives the 500 kg weight class. The TA version differs from the standard bombs of the FAB-500 line in the design of the body; it is a different variant of the 500 kg class bomb used by the Soviet Air Force and the Russian Air Force. The bombs were carried by machines such as MiG and Su types.
