An accessory propeller for a model of a German aircraft of the Second World War in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The propeller is the element on an aircraft model that everyone notices first. It is also with the propeller, though, that the limits of injected plastic show most often: the blade tends to be thicker in section than it should be, the edges are rounded and the leading edge is not as sharp as it would be on a real blade. A replacement propeller solves this shortcoming, because it can be made with a thinner and more accurate section than a part from an ordinary kit.
This is an accessory for a model of a German aircraft of the Second World War period in 1:48 scale. Before buying, compare the shape and dimensions of the propeller with the part in your kit and with the documentation for the type you are building. The extent of the package is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the excess material and any marks from production off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest away carefully; on thin blades proceed in small steps so that the edge does not ripple. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts. The suitable glue is given in the manufacturer's instructions. It is more comfortable to paint the propeller separately and fit it to the model only at the end, otherwise it is easily marked during handling. If you are seating the propeller permanently, check dry that its axis points straight forward.
The set suits modelers who want to improve one conspicuous detail on a German aircraft without a major intervention in the build. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
