This set from the LööKplus range by the Czech company Eduard from Obrnice near Most joins what the LööK range does, that is a pre-colored resin instrument panel and steel seat belts, with further resin parts for the same kit. In this case the name expressly gives early-type wheels, which matters: the manufacturer also offers a variant with the late-type wheels in parallel. Choose according to the particular machine you are building.
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat was an American twin-engine carrier-based fighter with a crew of two and a variable-geometry wing, taken into service in the 1970s. The A version was the first production one and the most numerous. During its long service the type went through a series of partial modifications, among them the form of the main landing gear wheels, so two machines from different periods differ in this detail. That is exactly why the manufacturer offers the set in two variants, and the choice between them is governed by the subject you are building.
Clean the instrument panel up only lightly after cutting it from the casting block, as the color layer is thin. A drop of gloss varnish on the dials imitates the glass of an instrument. Degrease the steel belts, shape them over a round object and attach them with super glue. Wash the resin wheels in warm water with dish soap, level the contact surface so that the model stands straight, and when painting separate the tire from the hub with a mask or a template. Finish the cabin, weathering included, before the fuselage is closed up and the canopy fitted.
These are accessories, not a model in its own right. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
