It offers a pair of exhaust nozzles in the narrowed position, that is in the state where the movable petals are drawn together. The nozzles tend to be conspicuous on a finished model and the part from a kit often loses out on the thickness of the wall and on a simplified inside. The replacement part has a thinner wall and more finely broken-up inner surfaces, which is visible at once when viewed from behind.
The F-14 Tomcat was an American carrier fighter with a crew of two and a variable-sweep wing, which swung in flight according to speed. The F-14D version was the last and the best equipped. The aircraft had two engines mounted far apart in roomy nacelles, so both nozzles are clearly visible from the side and from behind and deserve attention on a model.
An add-on set is supplied. The model, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Check the kit the set is cut for in the instructions.
