Special Hobby J-20/Héja I Re 2000 Export Birds (1:48) is a limited edition plastic kit of the export and license versions of the Italian Reggiane Re.2000 fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in a limited edition from Special Hobby covers the export and license variants of the Reggiane Re.2000 fighter in 1:48 scale. The Export Birds boxing concentrates on machines in Swedish service (J 20) and on the Hungarian license version, the Héja I. It is a short-run kit with finely engraved surfaces and a decal sheet for color schemes and national markings.
The Reggiane Re.2000 was an Italian single-seat fighter of the turn of the 1930s and 1940s with a characteristic elliptical wing. Besides Italian service it was exported to Sweden, where it flew as the J 20, and license-built in Hungary under the designation Héja. It was powered by a radial engine and the machine stood out for its good agility.
As with short-run kits, count on cleaning up flash and dry-fitting the parts before gluing. Paint the cockpit and the engine before closing the fuselage. We recommend a primer, the main coat by airbrush and a gloss varnish under the decals. Fine panel lines and discreet weathering help at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
