Metal exhausts for the Lavochkin LaGG-3, series 29 to 35, in 1:48 scale are an upgrade set from Rexx. It is not a model but electroformed metal exhaust manifolds replacing the plastic parts from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains metal exhaust manifolds for the Soviet Lavochkin LaGG-3 fighter in production series 29 to 35, in 1:48 scale. It is not a model kit but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic exhausts in the base kit. The maker is Rexx, which produces the manifolds by electroforming, thanks to which they have thin walls and a fine casting.
The LaGG-3 was a Soviet fighter of the Second World War, characterized by a largely wooden structure impregnated with resin. It was powered by a Klimov V12 engine. The later series 29 to 35 brought aerodynamic and armament changes compared with the early machines. The exhaust manifolds projected along the sides of the fuselage behind the engine.
Cut the parts off the gates and clean them up. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Metal takes paint and dark heat staining, so light degreasing and a finish with pigments for the impression of soot and rust are advisable. Check compatibility with your kit beforehand.
It is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
