The extended form of the mask set in 1:48 scale for the two-seat Phantom FG.1. Compared with the basic version of the same range it is a more comprehensive set that, besides the frames of the glazing, also deals with the other surfaces covered during painting. The masks are cut for the Airfix 06016 kit.
The most unpleasant places are not the large ones but the round and small ones. Wheels with a different color of rim and tire, small windows and surfaces where two shades meet. It is exactly there that tape cut freehand never hits the mark, and the mistake is doubly visible because the model is otherwise finished. A cut mask supplies a shape that is the same on the left and the right side and repeatable on all the wheels.
For modelers who want to take a model down to the detail and are interested in spraying areas beyond the cockpit as well. The extent is greater than that of the basic form, so it is better suited to someone who has already worked with masks.
The package holds only the mask set. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. The description is purely technical, about building and painting a model.
