AML paint masks 1:48 for the Bf 109 E in the Spanish Civil War. Spray the period schemes of the early Emils in 1:48 scale without laborious masking with tape.
Responsibility details are not available.
Paint masks from the Czech manufacturer AML in 1:48 scale for the early Messerschmitt Bf 109 E aircraft deployed at the close of the Spanish Civil War in 1939. Spain was the first combat test for the Bf 109 type, and the aircraft from there are among the historically most interesting subjects of the early era of this fighter.
In 1:48 scale the camouflage fields are small and every millimeter of deviation shows. Cutting masks from tape by hand is slow and the result is rarely symmetrical; a pre-cut mask lays the line on both sides of the model the same way and the first time. Smaller areas also mean quick work, so you can spray the scheme in a single evening.
In 1:48 scale spray at lower pressure and with a finer atomization so that the paint does not get under the edge. Move the small masks with tweezers and check that the edges have seated before spraying, especially across engraved panel lines, where the mask should be pressed down lightly with a toothpick. Let the coats vent between colors, as thick layers would create steps at the edges of the masks that show even under weathering.
A modeling accessory; the set does not contain the aircraft kit, paints or glue.
