Decals for the Messerschmitt Bf 108 in 1:48 aimed at the international career of the type. Four subjects lead from a desert race in Egypt through a Japanese test establishment to postwar Polish service.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bf 108 was not built for the home market alone. A fast four-seat machine with a comfortable cabin and good range found customers from North Africa to the Far East, served flying clubs, transport companies and military test establishments, and some of the aircraft flew long after 1945. This sheet is precisely about that scattered career.
The postwar Polish machine is the most interesting of the four: the aviation league was then gathering whatever the fighting had left, and a German touring machine became a training and liaison aircraft of the organization that taught a new generation to fly. The Japanese and Manchurian subjects in turn bear out how far east the sales representatives of the marque reached.
The best result comes from printing onto a hard gloss base that is covered with a matte coat once dry, so that the edges of the film disappear. The registration letters are long and break easily in the curve of the fuselage, so it is advisable to settle them on a damp surface and to move them with a brush, not with the fingers.
