Four sets of markings for the Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 from 1941, including the machine of the JG 26 commander Adolf Galland, in 1:48.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-2 version brought the Messerschmitt rounded wingtips, cleaner cowling and a propeller spinner with no external tailplane struts. It was precisely this form of the aircraft that entered the fighting over the Channel in the spring and summer of 1941 and immediately afterwards over the Soviet Union. The set offers four particular machines and all of them fall within a single year, so it will serve well anyone who wants to build a coherent group from one period.
The best known is the aircraft with the serial 6750, in which the commander of the wing JG 26, Adolf Galland, flew from Audembert at the beginning of December 1941. The second machine belongs to Captain Dietrich Hrabak of the II. Gruppe of JG 54 and captures the summer of 1941 on the Eastern Front. The third subject is the aircraft of Lieutenant Helmuth Meckel of the II. Gruppe of JG 3 from the southern sector of the front in July 1941. The four are closed by the machine of Captain Hans von Hahn of the I. Gruppe of JG 3, recorded near Berdichev also in July 1941.
On the Friedrich the commanders' chevrons and bands often reach right down to the lower edge of the fuselage, where the shape curves away. Lay the motif on from the center toward the edges therefore, and draw the surplus water off with a paper tissue, otherwise the band will wrinkle at the sides. The model of the aircraft is sold separately.
