This is not an airplane model but a detail accessory. It is a set capturing the 7.92 mm MG15 aircraft machine gun in 1:48 scale from the Japanese maker FineMolds. In Japanese service this weapon was adopted in license versions as the naval Type 1 and the army Type 98. The set serves to complete the flexible or defensive armament of cockpits and gun positions on aircraft models faithfully.
The set brings finely made parts of the aircraft machine gun, which replace or supplement the weapon from the base kit. True detail on the weapon comes out above all in open gun positions and uncovered cockpits. It is intended for use on models of Japanese aircraft on which this weapon was carried.
Separate the small parts carefully and clean them up. Use cyanoacrylate (super glue) for gluing. Give the weapon a primer first and paint it in a dark metal shade, then bring out the fine surfaces with dry brushing and a light wash. Working with tweezers will make handling easier.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The aircraft itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
