This set from the Pavla brand is a detail accessory in resin in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of the helicopter on its own but a set of fine parts with which you refine a plastic kit of the Mil Mi-24 D HIND attack helicopter. The resin castings carry detail that injection-molded plastic cannot render faithfully.
The Mil Mi-24 in the D configuration (NATO reporting name Hind-D) is a Soviet attack and transport helicopter. Characteristic are the double stepped canopies over the pilot and the operator, heavy armor protection and the ability to carry both armament and a small assault party. The D version was among the most widespread variants of this family.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and clean the surfaces up with your airways protected. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting, bring out the details with an airbrush or a brush and underline the recesses with a wash.
This is an accessory in resin; the plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
