A precisely die-cut masking template for spraying the frames of the canopy of the night fighter version of the Mitsubishi A6M5 Reisen in 1:48 scale. Instead of wearily cutting tape to the small panes of the glazing, you simply transfer the finished segments onto the clear part and spray.
At the close of the Second World War the Imperial Japanese Navy adapted some of its A6M5 fighters for night operations against Allied raids; some of these machines carried gun armament installed obliquely upward behind the cockpit. It was an improvised answer to the night bombing, and today it is a sought-after and seldom seen subject for a build - and the dark night camouflage shows at its best precisely with cleanly sprayed canopy frames.
Degrease the surface of the clear part before application, transfer the segments with tweezers and press the edges down carefully. Spray light layers: the interior color first, then the external shade. With dark night schemes it pays to check the coverage against the light before taking the mask off. Remove the mask once it has dried, with a pull at a sharp angle, so that the paint does not lift.
A masking accessory - the kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
