Eduard North American Mustang Mk.IV 1:48 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the British version of the famous American fighter in the ProfiPACK edition with photo-etched parts and masks.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from the manufacturer Eduard captures the late version of the North American Mustang fighter as the British RAF used it under the designation Mk.IV. The ProfiPACK edition means a richly equipped box: besides the injection-molded plastic parts it contains a set of photo-etched parts (some of them color printed) and self-adhesive painting masks for the glazing and the wheels. The set offers several color options for RAF machines from the end of the Second World War.
The North American Mustang is among the best-performing piston fighters of the Second World War. The late versions with the teardrop canopy and the Packard Merlin engine stood out for their long range and were deployed to escort bombers and to attack ground targets. In the RAF they served under the designations Mustang Mk.IV and Mk.IVa.
Use a thin modeling cement on the joints of the plastic parts and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting, and lay down the silver areas and the gloss clear coats with an airbrush in layers. The masks included make clean painting of the canopy framing easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
