Photo-etched landing flaps Eduard P-40B landing flaps 1:48 for the American Curtiss fighter. An accessory for a kit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale for a faithful rendition of the landing flaps of the Curtiss P-40B fighter. It is not a model and not a kit but an accessory replacing the plastic flaps with fine photo-etched parts, which can be shown in the lowered position with their inner structure suggested. The exact contents follow the instructions in the package.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American fighter of the start of the Second World War, driven by a V12 engine and famous among other things from the service of the volunteer group the Flying Tigers. The early P-40B version was among the first production machines of this line. Lowered landing flaps are a favorite way of giving a parked model a lively look.
The original flaps are cut out of the plastic according to the instructions and replaced with the photo-etched parts. Those are cut from the fret, formed and glued with super glue. We recommend careful fitting against the underside of the wing and patience in bracing the parts.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of an airplane. The base kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
