Responsibility details are not available.
Kit of the Soviet, or Russian, Sukhoi Su-27 fighter in its early version, in 1:72 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model from Trumpeter. The box holds parts on several sprues, clear cockpit parts, a decal sheet and assembly instructions. The model of the early version has the characteristic short tail sting.
The Su-27 (NATO code name Flanker) is a heavy twin-engine fighter designed by the Sukhoi bureau as a counterweight to the most modern Western aircraft. It stands out for its long range, high agility and powerful armament. It entered service in the 1980s and, in various upgrades, still serves in a number of countries today. The early production version differs from later aircraft in details of the airframe and of the tail section.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and prime the model before painting. Paint the cockpit and the instrument panel and fit them before you close up the fuselage. An airbrush is ideal for the even blue and gray camouflage of modern fighters; the engraved panel lines can be picked out with a water-soluble panel line wash. Glue the clear cockpit parts on last and protect them from fogging.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
