A replacement propeller for a model of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. An accessory for builders who want to replace a part from the kit with a separately made component.
Responsibility details are not available.
The P-51D Mustang is one of the best-known fighters of the Second World War. The D version was given a bubble canopy with a cut-down fuselage spine, which allowed the pilot a view to the rear, and it became the main escort machine of the daylight bomber formations over Europe. After the war Mustangs went on serving for many years with the air forces of a number of states, and to this day it is one of the most frequently built modeling subjects.
This is a replacement propeller for a model of the P-51D Mustang in 1:48 scale. Separately made replacement parts are used where a builder wants to swap a component out of the box for another one. Check which kit the part is drawn for and what its exact extent is against the manufacturer's details on the box and in the instructions.
Before gluing, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry, so that the paint holds. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the remainder, so that you do not disturb the shape of the blades. The parts are not polystyrene and cement for plastic has no effect on them, so use super glue or a two-part adhesive. Seat the propeller in line with the fuselage and, while the glue sets, check that the blades are at the same angle. Apply a thin base coat and choose the shades according to the particular machine you are building.
The package holds the replacement part stated. The kit, paints, glue and thinner are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
