A set of waterslide decals from the Czech manufacturer ROP for a plastic model of the Polikarpov I-16 Rata fighter in 1:48 scale. The scheme is devoted to captured I-16s used by the Nationalist side during the Spanish Civil War. The product is an accessory for finishing your own model; it is not a model and not a kit.
The Polikarpov I-16 was a Soviet single-seat low-wing monoplane of the 1930s with retractable landing gear. It was delivered to Spain in support of the Republican side, where it was given the nickname Rata by its opponents and Mosca by the Republicans. Some of the captured machines then flew on the Nationalist side in different markings, and it is exactly these captured examples that the set is devoted to.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss coat. Cut the motif out, soak it in lukewarm water and, once it releases, move it from the backing into place; squeeze out the remaining water. A decal softener and a setting solution are worth using. Once dry, unify the surface with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is a set of decals, not an aircraft model. Paints, varnish and the model itself are not included in the package.
