This package is aimed at the two-seat Su-27UB, where detailing is more demanding precisely because of the second station in the cockpit. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model; the exact contents are given on the box.
The Su-27UB is the two-seat combat trainer version of the Soviet Su-27 fighter. The seats are arranged in tandem, one behind the other, and compared with the single-seater the fuselage has a raised rear cockpit section and a modified vertical tail. The aircraft kept the combat capability of the basic version and was used both for training and for ordinary duties. The longer canopy glazing makes the interior a far more visible part of the build on a model.
With a two-seat cockpit it pays to assemble and paint both stations completely before the fuselage is closed up, because once it is glued you can no longer reach inside. Separate the photo-etched parts with a scalpel on a hard surface and bend them over a straight edge. Degrease the metal before gluing, otherwise cyanoacrylate glue will not hold. Fit the canopy glazing at the very end and glue it with an adhesive intended for clear parts so that the surface does not fog.
