This is a supplementary photo-etched set from the maker Hauler in 1:48 scale, aimed at the fine grilles and mesh screens of the VW Type 82E Kafer. It is not a model of the car but metal details with which you replace the solid plastic areas of the model with pierced, realistic-looking grilles. The fret is cut for the Tamiya kit.
Grilles and mesh screens in photo-etch look markedly more faithful than plastic, because they have a real thickness and are genuinely see-through. The set is usually used together with the basic photo-etched set for the same car and is intended for more experienced modelers.
Cut the parts out with a sharp knife, form them over the edge of a ruler and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a primer so that the paint holds well.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
