The Flyhawk 1:700 masking set for HMS Hood 1941 makes clean painting of the decks and superstructures of a ship model easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for ship modelers in 1:700 scale from Flyhawk. The package holds pre-cut masks with which you spray the deck areas and the color-separated surfaces of a model of the British battlecruiser HMS Hood in her 1941 state. The set is cut for the kit from the same maker, which has to be bought separately. On a ship of this length that means tens of centimeters of edges, which masking by hand would take a whole evening. The pre-cut shapes also follow the real outline of the decks, so there is no tracing from a plan either.
HMS Hood was a battlecruiser, that is a ship built for speed at the expense of armor. In the 1920s and 1930s she represented the Royal Navy around the world and her silhouette was among the best known of all. In May 1941 she was lost in the Denmark Strait in a duel with the Bismarck, when a hit apparently set off a fire in a magazine.
The set is intended for modelers who build a ship model with an emphasis on clean painting. The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
