Kajika 1:700 IJN Battlecruiser Hiei is a plastic kit of the Japanese battlecruiser Hiei in her fit from the early 20th century, in 1:700 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The injection-molded plastic kit captures the Japanese battlecruiser Hiei in 1:700 scale from the manufacturer Kajika. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and represents the ship in her form from the first years after completion. It is a detailed waterline and full hull subject for collectors of warships.
Hiei was a battlecruiser of the Kongo class of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She was the second unit of the class and the first built in Japan itself, at the Yokosuka arsenal. The ships of the Kongo class were designed at the beginning of the 20th century to a British pattern and were among the fastest heavy units of their day. Hiei later went through an extensive reconstruction into a fast battleship and was sunk in the Second World War. This kit captures her in her early, battlecruiser form.
Separate the small parts carefully with a sharp knife. The hull can be finished as a waterline version or complete. The railings and the fine superstructure stand out with add-on photo-etched sets. Use an airbrush for painting, and shade and pick out the deck and the superstructure with washes. A stand will serve for stable display.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
