A wooden deck in 1:700 scale for a model of the American battleship Alabama, shaped for the Hasegawa 608 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The battleship Alabama was among the American battleships deployed during the Second World War and today she is one of the few of them that have been preserved. A model of a battleship lives from the expansive forward and after deck, because it is precisely that which separates the superstructures and the gun turrets and gives the whole its scale.
The set is a wooden deck part in 1:700 scale intended for the kit from the manufacturer Hasegawa with the catalog number 608. The cutouts and the outlines come from the shape of this kit, so they cannot be carried over to another model. The material is wood, so the color tone and the pattern of the surface are given by the part itself.
Before you fix the deck, lay it on dry and verify that it seats around the superstructures and the barbettes. Clean and degrease the plastic base; grease from fingers is on large areas the most frequent cause of an edge lifting in time. Choose the glue and the procedure according to the manufacturer's instructions and apply it sparingly, so that it does not soak through to the surface. Remove a small overhang with a sharp blade guided away from the part and sand the edge down gently.
The set is for a modeler who on a ship in 1:700 scale wants to have the deck as material, not as a spray job. The kit, paints and glue are not in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
