This is a resin kit for experienced modelers in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer ROP. The model is cast in resin and is meant to be assembled and painted; it captures the look of the real subject faithfully.
The light fortification model 37, popularly called the Ropik, made up a continuous line of Czechoslovak border fortifications from 1937 and 1938. Type C was a work delivering frontal machine gun fire, that is against the expected direction of attack; the numerical designation specifies the geometry of the embrasure and the orientation of the work. These were smaller reinforced concrete pillboxes with a small garrison.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces down (protecting your breathing). It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer is recommended; build the concrete surfaces up by misting light gray and sand tones, bring out the recesses with a wash and suggest dust or mud with pigments. Emphasize the front wall with the embrasure with a finer shade and careful weathering around the armored elements.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
