The decal set Americans in Stalin's Sky II in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer AML brings markings for American aircraft that served with the Soviet Air Force during the Second World War. Photo-etched parts are part of the package as well.

The second installment of the line from the Czech manufacturer AML is devoted to American aircraft that reached the Soviet Union under Allied aid and fought on the Eastern Front. The decal sheet in 1:72 scale is accompanied by a fret of photo-etched parts, so besides the markings the set also offers the fine details that injection-molded plastic alone cannot manage.
Between 1941 and 1945 thousands of American fighters and bombers flowed into the Soviet Union. Soviet pilots achieved remarkable successes on them, and the aircraft carried an interesting combination of their original American colors with Soviet national insignia, quick identification markings and personal emblems of the pilots. It is exactly this mixture that makes the subject a rewarding one, as a finished model looks different at a glance from the usual purely Soviet or purely American aircraft.
Apply the decals on a gloss or semi-gloss base, which considerably reduces the risk of silvering. Cut the individual subjects out as close to the print as possible, soak them in lukewarm water and settle them on the model with a setting solution; across unevenness and engraved lines a decal softener helps. Once completely dry, fix the whole with a coat of varnish. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and glue them with small drops of cyanoacrylate glue.
This is an accessory, a decal sheet with photo-etched parts rather than an aircraft kit. The particular schemes on the sheet follow the manufacturer's current release.
