The Bristol Blenheim in Finnish service is a decal set in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker AML Decals, devoted to the Blenheim bombers of the Finnish Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale for models of the twin-engined Bristol Blenheim bomber in Finnish Air Force form. The set holds markings and accompanying lettering together with color drawings for their placing. It is not a kit but an addition to a Blenheim model in this scale.
The Bristol Blenheim was a British twin-engined bomber that in the second half of the 1930s was among the fast types of its category. The Finnish Air Force obtained Blenheims from British production, and some of the machines were built under license in domestic factories. They served as bombers and reconnaissance aircraft during the Winter War and in the later period, and remained in service longer than in many other countries. The Finnish machines differed in camouflage scheme and in the way they were marked, so they stand out markedly from the British versions.
The Blenheim has large glazing on the cabin and large fuselage surfaces, so it pays to unmask the canopies carefully first and go over the surface with a gloss varnish. Cut the decals out close to the motif, soak them in warm water and transfer them to a dampened spot where they can still be adjusted. Settle the markings on the vertical tail and on the wing according to the drawing, and use a decal softener on contoured surfaces. Once dry, seal it with a matte varnish, which unifies the surface under the weathering to come.
Decals are a modeling addition. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
