The General Aviation GA-43 Clark was an American single-engine airliner of the first half of the 1930s. For its day it was a modern machine: all-metal construction, a cantilever low wing and retractable landing gear, that is solutions that were only beginning to establish themselves. The cabin took a small group of passengers, so the type was aimed at short routes. Only a few examples were built, which makes a model all the more interesting on a shelf.
A kit of a model in 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, so glue, paints and basic modeling tools are needed to finish it. The exact breakdown of the parts, their division and the recommended paints are given by the manufacturer's instructions; go by them when choosing a finish variant too.
Try fitting the parts together dry before gluing, so that you know where a light sanding will be needed. On an all-metal subject it pays to spend time on the surface: unevenness and sanding marks show more under smooth paint than under camouflage. Apply the paint in several thin coats and mask the cabin glazing before spraying, not once the paint around it has dried.
Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
