An injection-molded plastic kit of the German single-engine aircraft Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun in 1:72 scale from the French maker Heller. The kit from a proven mold offers a clear build suited even to less experienced modelers and enclosed decals for period markings. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
The Bf 108 Taifun was an elegant all-metal low-wing monoplane with retractable landing gear which in the 1930s served as a sporting, touring and liaison aircraft for four people. It arose in the design office of Willy Messerschmitt, and its aerodynamic and structural solutions foreshadowed the later famous Bf 109 fighter. During the war it was widely used as a courier and liaison machine.
You will manage the build with ordinary procedures: clean the parts up, glue them with thin modeling cement and fill the joints as needed. Smooth metal surfaces will appreciate a good base; the paint and any natural metal look are best laid on with an airbrush. Mask the cockpit glazing carefully for clean framing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
