Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet OT-130 flamethrower tank in 1:72 scale from Mirage Hobby. The vehicle came about on the chassis of the T-26 light tank with a cylindrical turret in which the main gun was replaced by a flamethrower. The package holds plastic parts, soft one-piece tracks and assembly instructions.
The OT-130 belonged to the group of so-called chemical tanks, which was the Soviet term of the day for flamethrower and smoke-laying vehicles. It came about by converting the single-turret T-26 tank, whose 45 mm gun was replaced by a flamethrower fed from a tank of incendiary mixture. The vehicles served to destroy fortifications and for close-quarters fighting; because of the short range of the flamethrower, though, they were vulnerable.
Assemble and weather the running gear and the one-piece tracks before fitting them to the hull. An airbrush suits the Soviet green; bring out the edges and the running gear with rubbing, washes and dust pigments. Glue the turret with the flamethrower carefully to get the barrel seated correctly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
