The Renault FT is a French light tank of the end of the First World War and one of the most important milestones in the history of armored machinery. As the first production vehicle of its kind it used the layout that became the standard: the driver at the front, a fully rotating turret in the middle and the engine at the rear. It was small, relatively cheap and built in large numbers, so after the war it spread to a number of countries where it served long after it was created and in some places went through local modifications. The machines operated in China belong to this group.
In 1:72 scale the parts are small, so cut them off with a sharp scalpel right at the gate and clean them up with a fine file. Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull, as you will no longer be able to reach them. Apply a filler primer, which will even the surface out, and spray the base shade with an airbrush in thin coats. Pick out the detail with a dark wash, which will run into the recesses. At the end, dust and mud weathering with pigments concentrated on the running gear and the lower part of the hull works well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
