An external auxiliary fuel tank designated 230 gallons for the centerline pylon under the fuselage, 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Auxiliary fuel tanks extend the range of combat aircraft and are hung on pylons under the fuselage or under the wing. The centerline pylon is the one in the middle under the fuselage; a tank there changes the silhouette of the aircraft considerably and shows at once on a model.
This is a replacement external tank for models in 1:72 scale with the capacity designation 230 gallons. The type of aircraft it is cut for is only specified by the manufacturer's description, so before buying compare the shape and length of the tank with the stores of your kit and with the data in the instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder flat so that the glued surface sits without a gap. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly. Paint the tank separately and hang it on the model last so that it is not damaged while handling. When gluing, take care that the axis of the tank is parallel with the axis of the fuselage.
It suits modelers who want to replace a coarsely shaped tank from a kit or to add a store that the kit does not contain. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
